Prices
Standard drinks cost gold, although this price varies from character to character, as it scales with the champion's level. Premium drinks cost a bit of extra gold compared to Standard drinks, and they have an additional, fixed fee of 2 credits.
Other effects
To keep things in balance, some mechanics exist. Players can't obtain unlimited positive effects from drinks. When sober, champions have a 0% chance of bad things happening if they buy another round. As more and more drinks are consumed and the champion gets drunker, this percent chance increases. If "bad things" do happen, the champion will lose all of the positive effects gained and their drunkenness will be forcibly reset to the sober level, any currency spent will not be refunded.
An immortal power, "Legendary Drinker," allows immortal champions to consume up to 10 drinks before starting to feel drunk, unlike regular mortal drinkers, who may feel the effects right away.
Drinking in the Dragon Tavern can lead to tavern brawls and other tavern activities,
some will cause the champion to gain or lose gold, experience, or action points.
